Background
Sakura Finetek is an international manufacturer of pathology laboratory products. The European subsidiary of Sakura required a separate UK office and selected a site in Thatcham, near Newbury.
Sakura wanted a light, open plan office space which would also allow for meetings and workshops to take place. Newbury Interiors was chosen to refit their new premises based on recommendation and their ability to translate what Sakura wanted into reality.
Scope of works
- Meet and discuss requirements with client
- Present and agree proposal to fit budget and design requirements
- Reconfigure existing partitions and fit new partitioning
- Reinstall ceiling tiles
- Alter flooring
- Replace kitchen
- Alterations to lighting and power
- Blind alteration and installation
- Design and commission internal and external signage
- Install alarm system
Critical issues
All work had to be completed within a specified time "window" to tight timescales. In addition, a part of the building still needed to accommodate staff whilst work was being carried out.
