Spie Matthew Hall is a premier building services company, providing multi technical and support services from initial mechanical and electrical design through to maintenance and facilities management.

A new regional base was acquired at Poyle, near Heathrow Airport, for the company's southern, central regions and airports division, in order to widen their client base within the south and M4 corridor and to have resources and solutions local to terminal 5 and their biggest client, BAA.

Having acted as a sub-contractor for Spie Matthew Hall on previous fit-out and refurbishment projects, Newbury Interiors was asked to design and build a modern space for the company's own new two storey regional office.

Scope of works

• Meet and discuss requirements with client
• Present and agree designs to fit budget and design requirements
• Conference room & 2 offices to first floor
• Communications room to first floor
• Silicon glass partition system with corporate branding to first floor open plan office area
• Conference room and reception screening on ground floor

Critical issues

Spie Matthew Hall wanted to create a light, airy, modern space for the open plan office area. This was accomplished by designing a silicon glass partition system for the first floor. In addition, as a provider of building services themselves, Spie needed to ensure that their own project was completed efficiently, on budget and within the prescribed timescales.
