However, lighting systems - key energy consumers in offices and industrial facilities alike - are often overlooked in otherwise well-conceived environmental policies.
Released in April 2006, Part L2 of the Building Regulations lays down strict standards for the efficiency of lighting systems in non-residential premises. The regulations are now effectively forcing a general move to energy-efficient lighting systems.
