Welcome! ...to New Interiors, the bi-monthly email newsletter from Newbury Interiors.

At Newbury Interiors we are always looking out for innovative products and this issue we are pleased to bring you the Apton Glass Door System, launched at April's Interior Fit-Out show.

Also in this issue of New Interiors we report on the legal obligations of the Energy Performance Certificate introduced in October 2008.

And we focus on the work Newbury Interiors recently carried out for Panalux when they combined two operations together in one warehouse, designing and creating a mezzanine floor with offices underneath.

Finally we hope you enjoy the YouTube clip - some bosses just know how to finely tune their business!

New Interiors comes to you without charge or obligation. If you like it, please tell your colleagues so they can receive it too. Details on how to subscribe and unsubscribe are at the end of each issue.

Wishing you every success,

Chris Chamberlain
Managing Director

Innovative double glazed door

Innovative double glazed door

Responding to the requirements of today's modern glazed office environment, Apton partitioning has designed a double-glazed door that fits any doorframe designed to take a standard sized door leaf.  The Apton Glass Door System (GDS) offers good sound proofing and can fit with existing partitioning into a 44mm door rebate - so you don't need a bespoke or even a full height glass door.  Launched at April's Interior Fit-Out exhibition, the GDS is already showing its design versatility worldwide, being snapped up by The Boston Museum of Fine Arts!  For more information, click here: http://apton-partitioning.com

EPC - a legal requirement

EPC - a legal requirement

Since October 2008 EPCs, or Energy Performance Certifcates, have been required when a building is sold, rented out or constructed, and sometimes after refurbishment work. The EPC certificate, which is provided by an accredited energy assessor, gives a building an A to G rating so that potential buyers or tenants can look at energy efficiency as part of their purchasing or occupying decision.  Sellers or landlords who fail to produce an EPC risk a £5,000 fine.  The Carbon Trust offers practical advice and information to businesses on improving as well as grants available. Spotlight on Panalux

Spotlight on Panalux

Slough-based film lighting rental company PANALUX called in Newbury Interiors to help them redesign and refurbish their warehouse and office area to bring two operations together under one roof.  The challenges of the work included creating a new mezzanine storage floor.  It was critical that the project was completed within 6 weeks, before the lease of a second building expired.  To read more about this project click here: http://www.newinteriors.co.uk/case-studies-panalux.htm
